Mixed Feelings On Recycling in German Village, OH
Residents of German Village, OH, are excited about the new recycling program taking place in Columbus neighborhoods. They are eager to promote recycling and do their part to make Columbus a cleaner city. Some aspects of the current system, however, are seen as less than favorable. Questions arise when it comes to the use of the 64-gallon bins delivered to homes and smaller housing units. Many residents feel these bins are much too big for their yards, garages or spaces between houses. The current plan allows for changes to be made, such as rejecting the bins after a 90 day trial period. In the meantime, residents and city officials are trying to determine reasonable alternatives, such as smaller bins or households sharing bins.
